Going South

This is a picture that I took on the summer of 2009 if I remember well. At first sight it may only appear as a picture of a fishing boat over the ocean but actually what is great about this picture it's what is going on on the other side of the camera as usual, this is a picture I took while me, my family and a family friends of us were on a travel to the south of Chile, the main destination was Chiloé but as my family were on a motorhome and our friends were on tents we didn't really have only one destination, we was actually jus wandering arround any place we were feeling like sightseeing so we finally spent like three or four days of the almost two weeks of our trip visiting Chiloé and the rest of the time we was driving from camping to camping arround Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt and all the beautiful national parks on that area, but im getting away from the photo history.

This photo in particular it was taken from a ferry that I don't really remember from where we took it but I do remember that the road, including the ferry belongs to the "carretera austral", so my father was really excited to go on the carretera austral as south as we could go so we took this one ferry and while we were traveling for like one hour more or less I went to a high deck and look to the ocean and saw this beautiful sceen of this nice and quiet fishing boat over the ocean with the Chiloé island on the back.

My father sold the motorhome now, so I always like to look at pictures like this one to remember the great trips and landscapes we used to witness not so much ago.

Hope you like the pic.

Mi thrid eye

My favourite piece of technology is actually one of my favourite things in the world and it's not because I use it all day or I go anyway with it, it's just that it holds a lot of the greatest and favourites moments of my life in it... I'm talking about my video camera, it's so small and light that I have it with me whenever I can and I don't even realize that I'm carrying it until I need to get a great video of something I don't want to forget. The story of how I got it's really funny because one day a friend of mine come to my house and told me "hey there's a great deal on this falabella website about a HD camera, but it's only for 5 more hours" and i'm like "what!? why didn't you told me earlier!?"... So I called my parents to ask them for the money but they didn't have this falabella's card (wich you had to have to get that promotion) and then my friend ask to his father to buy this camera for me jahjahaj, at this point there's like 3 hours left of the promotion and it's like 2am, finally my friend's dad agreed to bought this amazing camera for me and after all the problems I received my camera one week later and... totally worth the waiting!

I have had it for a year and a half now, and i use it almost every weekend whether if it's to record my grandfathers birthday or a party with my friends, it doesn't matter how drunk we are I always pull out the camera so I can get that great moment on video to watch it over and over again. I think that's why I love my camera so much it doesn't matter how boring my day was I can always go to my computer and revive the great moments I have recorded.

My BBC's site opinion

I think think the BBC's english learning site it's a great idea if you want to learn english in a new interactive way, but there are so many sites on the web that i would recommend you to have a look arround before choosing this one to be your one and only source of exercises and quizzes. The main reason of why i'm telling this is because i found it a little confusing to find the section or particular activity that you are actually looking for, but once you get there it's really entertaining and educative.

One of the sections i liked the most was this "Beat the keeper: Keep your english up to date" game that shows and teaches about many of the new idioms that are arround these days, so it's really useful if you are thinking about going on a trip to some english-speaking country and you only have the traditional leanguage knowledge that they teach in most of the schools.

The nice and quiet Rapel lake

A few weeks ago I went to my family country house in Rapel lake, wich is actually 3 hours from Santiago so its quite a long ride but its was a fun one because this time I was going with all of my male cousins so most of time we where just fooling arround on our way there.

At the house my parents and uncles where waiting for us with a barbecue and a camp fire so we stay up until almost 5am (well, at least the youngest of us) just singing old guitar songs and telling stories and things like that. The next day we all enjoy the lake, swiming or going for a ride on a boat and even there was a few of my cousins who tried to do wakeboard its was a really fun day.

I always enjoy going to rapel, good company, the quietness of the lake, and all under the most beautiful clear sky you can imagine.
